Day-to-Day
When traveling to cooler destinations or places where the temperature drops at night, keep sweatshirts and jackets handy, so you don’t have to dig through your suitcases.

If you will be checking in late at night, be sure to inform reception in advance, as some hotels require prior notification.
If you'll be based in one location throughout your trip, we recommend unpacking rather than living out of your suitcases. It makes the mornings much easier and keeps the house/ hotel room cleaner.
If you need baby gear, such as a high chair or crib, and the resort or Airbnb host doesn't provide it, there are usually rental services where you can rent the gear for the duration of your stay.
Additionally, several rental services offer not just baby gear, but also toys, beach gear, baby carriers, and baby swings.
One rental service we recommend is Rents4baby.com, which operates across various areas in the US and provides excellent customer service. If they don’t serve your location, there are many other options available.
Keep a cooler in the back of your car to store perishables. Replace the ice every morning, and bring the cooler into the hotel room in the evening to keep things frozen overnight. We’ve found that some hotels are accommodating and will let us store items in their freezer if the room doesn’t have one.
Prepare any supplies you may need for the day in one or two bags, keeping them within arm’s reach of your seat. This way, all your suitcases stay securely in the trunk.
If you’re traveling in a remote area, keep your gas tank at least half full. Also, download Google Maps if you’re unsure about cell phone service.
Keep baby wipes accessible for any messes, and pack a thermos with hot water for baby bottles.
Make sure to bring along charging cables and a phone holder to keep in the car, as well as extras to bring in each night.
