-
Bethlehem: Congregation Machzikei Hadas.
-
Lincoln: Chabad offers minyanim throughout the summer, as do many of the local hotels and resorts. Additionally, lincolnnhminyan.com is a valuable resource for which hotels will be hosting minyanim each week, with their addresses and tefilla times.
Kosher Food: There is a kosher grocery at Presidential Mountain Resort. Additionally, many supermarkets in the area carry some kosher items, but don't count on finding a wide selection. It’s best to come stocked for your trip or stop at Presidential Mountain Resort on the way to stock up. Price Chopper in Lincoln has pre-packaged kosher food, while Shaw’s Supermarket in Littleton has a small kosher section with items like bread, milk, and more. The Bethlehem Village Shop also stocks kosher essentials.
Weather: The weather in New Hampshire is typically cooler than in NYC. Even in summer, evenings can be cool, so it’s a good idea to bring a sweater.
Hotels & Attractions: There are two kosher hotels in New Hampshire: Presidential Mountain Resort and The Chandler at White Mountains. Additionally, many hotels in Lincoln are very popular among Jewish tourists during the summer and host minyanim almost daily throughout Bein Hazmanim.
With a wide range of activities to choose from, local attractions handle crowds well. We found that we didn’t need to make prior reservations for anything.
