Niagara Falls is one of the most iconic natural wonders in the world, located on the border between Canada and the United States. The Falls consist of three massive waterfalls — the Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls — and attract millions of visitors each year. We have compiled a list of family-friendly fun activities that can be done at Niagara, most of which are within walking distance from each other. Depending on the length of your trip and your budget, these activities can all be covered within 3-4 days. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, including boat tours to the base of the Falls, walking along scenic trails, exploring nearby attractions, and experiencing thrilling activities like zip lining and jet boating. The Falls are beautifully lit at night, creating a magical atmosphere, and often feature fireworks shows. Whether you're seeking adventure or simply wanting to take in the stunning views, Niagara Falls offers something for everyone.

Cave of the Winds: Get up close to the falls with this thrilling experience that takes you on a series of walkways right beneath the Bridal Veil Falls, where you’ll feel the power of the cascading water. Although they provide you with a poncho to wear, if you're planning to visit the Hurricane Deck, which is directly beneath the falls, be sure to bring a change of clothes. You'll get wet from the powerful spray!

Maid of the Mist: Take a boat tour to the base of the falls for a breathtaking view and an unforgettable experience as you get soaked by the mist! There is also the Hornblower from the Canadian side of the Falls, offering the same tour with spectacular views.

Journey Behind the Falls: Explore tunnels behind the waterfall and witness the power of the Falls from observation decks that are right next to the rushing water.

Jet Boat: For adventure-seekers, take a jet boat ride through the rapids of the Niagara River for an adrenaline-pumping experience. Some companies offer seats in a covered area of the boat; however, expect to get wet even in those areas. When we went in April, we were given wetsuits to help prevent our clothing from getting soaked, as it was still chilly outside.

Butterfly Conservatory: Step into a tropical paradise filled with thousands of colorful butterflies at this indoor garden, offering a serene escape.

Whirlpool Aero Car: Ride in a vintage cable car over the Niagara River Whirlpool for an incredible aerial view of the swirling waters below.

Skylon Tower: After ascending using an outdoor glass elevator, taking you up to the tower's viewing point, take in panoramic views of the Falls and surrounding area from this observation tower, offering a bird's-eye view from 775 feet above.
