Day 1:
After a smooth flight to Palm Springs, we spent some time locating our car rental. Once we had the car, we headed to our hotel to unpack and get settled.
After settling in and visiting the beautiful flamingos on-site, we went out to explore the famous Joshua Tree National Park. The park was absolutely stunning, and we found ourselves constantly pulling over to climb on the rock piles and mountains. The rocks were fairly easy to climb, and our 5-year-old had no trouble scaling them and jumping off. After exploring various rock formations, caves, and crevices, we made our way to Keys View to watch the sunset. The sunset was magical, with views of the sun setting over endless mountains.

We then headed back to the hotel for some much-needed rest.
Day 2:
We started the day at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens. We had fun at the animal playground, getting up close and personal with giraffes and visiting the petting zoo. We also enjoyed seeing the other animals. Afterward, we explored the beautiful gardens, where we were amazed by the exotic and diverse cacti, especially the different types we saw.

We then returned to the resort to relax by the flamingos and enjoy the resort pools.
Day 3 (Pesach):
We spent a relaxing day exploring the resort, visiting the flamingos, and enjoying the various playgrounds on-site.

Day 4 (Pesach):
We had another peaceful day, continuing to explore the resort, spending time with the flamingos, checking out the courts, and enjoying more playground time.
Day 5:
We had planned to take the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to enjoy the breathtaking views from the peak, but due to lack of availability, we had to skip it and head to Los Angeles instead.
Along the way, we drove through an enormous field of wind turbines, with what seemed like an endless number of them stretching as far as the eye could see.

Our journey was also marked by a unique experience—a sandstorm! It was something we had never encountered before.
After a quick stop in LA for kosher food, we headed to the airport for our flight home.
